Here's a thought.
If you typically aren't nice, then one day you are, people usually ask, "What do you want?" or "What's going on with you?" or "What's the catch?"
We are supposed to be nice and good to people all of the time.
It is the Holiday Season, so use that as the excuse.
Say, "I guess I am just in the Holiday spirit." People will buy that without question, usually.
Then make being nice your habit instead of out of the ordinary.
